The York School Model UN participates in the 24th Annual Columbia Model United Nations Conference and Exposition
This past week 22 students from TYS Model UN (the largest club at York) travelled to New York City to participate in the 24th annual CMUNCE conference at Columbia University. Before the conference started, we were lucky enough to have front-row seats at the Broadway musical Aladdin. We also spent several hours taking in the beauty of the MET museum and a stroll through Central Park.Read More -

Alumni Spotlight: Ralph Rouhana ‘19
In his final year of Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo, Ralph Rouhana '19 created a cloud-based platform that enabled him to take scientific notes quickly and accurately. Today hundreds of people are using his product – called Stempad – to create lab notes, scientific blogs, research papers and assignments.Read More -

Read MoreIsaac Cheng Mintz loves spiders, snails, centipedes and bugs of all kinds. When he joined York in September 2023, he was thrilled that many of his Senior Kindergarten classmates shared his fascination with creepy crawlers. Before long, Isaac and his fellow bug enthusiasts were spending every recess searching the playground for tiny creatures they could observe and discuss. Every day after school, Isaac’s parents Cynthia Cheng Mintz and Adam Mintz were delighted to hear about their son’s scientific explorations. -

The York School in Toronto was the first English-speaking school to provide the full IB program. Read MoreThis past weekend, nine talented York School students showcased their skills at the DECA Ontario provincial competition after qualifying through a regional event. They tackled challenging business case studies and impressively pitched innovative franchising plans to judges. Congratulations to Molly L. and Avantika S. for ranking in the top 9 in the province! They've earned their spot at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Orlando this April. We are so proud of all our participants for representing York School with excellence!
