The TYS JV Boys Basketball team traded baskets with the Royal St. George Knights team in a first half which saw both teams equally matched. The RSG team made a strong push in the second half leading by 12 points until the York team surged on an impressive run of baskets ending the first half with a single point difference. Demonstrating a solid defence wall throughout, the TYS team were able to steadily regain control of the game and take a narrow lead near the end of the fourth quarter. Still the Knights made a late push and were brought to the line to secure a 47 to 43 win. The close game was a good preparation for the TYS JV team who learned valuable lessons to bring into their playoff games. Congratulations to Lenny B-D for achieving his top point total for a game this season. Miles N and Ryan W also led in scoring with 7 points each.
