With a reduced eight players roster, the TYS team returned to Royal St. George College to play in their first CISAA playoff game. The TYS team launched with a strong first quarter, dominating on both sides of the court. As a close competitor throughout the regular season, the RSGC Knights returned with a challenge in the second half and tied the score by half time. The teams continued to match baskets into the third and fourth quarters. With only 6 seconds left and a tie score of 56-56, Ryan W. inbounded to Lennon B-D. passing to Aaron. S. who secured the win with a phenomenal 180 degree spin and basket to put the TYS team on top closing out this close match with a single basket 58-56 victory. Kudos also to Robert B for his three 3-point shot contributions as top scorer and Nathaniel C. for securing 1o points under the basket. TYS will defend their playoff standing next Wednesday against Greenwood College School. Coach Ben and Mr. Corsano would like to express their admiration for this determined team who earned their way to another playoff match.
